The first signs of wine trade at Domaine Es Cordelières date back to 1471. Religious from the Grandson convent acquired 10 vines for the sum of 550 florins. At that time, the place was called Clos des Pidances. It was located in the territory of Châtagneréaz, under the castle of Mont le Vieux. In 1504, a deed then renamed it Domaine Es Cordelières. The domain has been owned since 1960 by the Mundler du Martheray family and has been managed for the production of wine by the Graenicher family since 1967.
