Clos Domaines & Châteaux
La noblesse des vins suisses

Domaine de Sarraux-Dessous is a wine estate of 18 hectares with a majestic 16th-century building housing the wine cellars. The wines of the estate are aged in oak casks until they are bottled. The wine range includes Grands Crus from Chasselas (white wines), Gamay, Pinot noir and Garanoir (red wines) and an original rosé wine from a blend of the three red grape varieties.

The origins of Domaine de Sarraux-Dessous date back to the 14th century (1145) when the municipality of Serraux decided to bring together the castle of Serraux-Dessus and the law court of Serraux-Dessous. In 1480, Serraux-Dessous was separated from the seigneury and became a sub fief. The town gradually fell into ruin and disappear in 1616. At the time, the castle belonged to the nobles of la Harpe. From then on, Serraux was linked to Begnins, being “solely responsible for paying war cost, maintenance of the parochial church and all other public charges”. The estate knew different spellings over the ages even if it refers to a single place. Sarraux-Dessous was born.
