The splendid estate of Château de Châtagneréaz is established in the heart of the city of Mont-sur-Rolle. Its vines were already quoted in 996. The first vestiges of the Château date back to 1177. Similar to a Bordeaux Château, Château de Châtagneréaz has a fairly simple architecture but produces renowned wines. The place and its 18-hectare vineyard, very well-exposed in La Côte region, belongs to the Schenk house. Wines are vinified in oak barrels in the magnificent cellar of the Château. A cellar rich in history: it is covered with names, initials and dates, written down with candles by the coopers and winegrowers who have dedicated efforts and meticulous work to preserve and develop the estate over the ages.
